As per the NYC ACC, the final at-risk list for 2018 will be posted on Friday, December 21.
There will be no at-risk list from Saturday, December 22 – Tuesday, January 2, 2019. During this time, there will be no euthanasia of animals unless deemed medically necessary for humane reasons.
We encourage everyone to visit our regular adoption page at nycacc.org for a list of animals available for public adoption. For networking purposes, animals that require special placement through a New Hope adoption partner due to medical or behavior reasons will be listed here on the Official ACC At-Risk Facebook Page.
ACC and the pets in our care are grateful for the continued support and advocacy of those who bring awareness to NYC animals in desperate need of homes – both temporary and permanent. Since March of 2018, 99% of at-risk cats and 75% of at-risk dogs have found placement through direct adoption and through the tireless work of our New Hope adoption partners. With the help of the community we are making large strides towards eliminating the at-risk list altogether.
Wishing everyone a happy holiday.
