Moon, Rita and Alter Ego are not related, but they share one very tragic thing in common. All 3 arrived at the NYC AC&C pregnant, and all 3 had their unborn kittens removed from their wombs and killed. Moon, is now on the list to destroyed May 16, 2015, while Rita and Alter Ego are sitting at the AC&C, stressed, in pain, and in danger of getting sick and hitting that dreaded list too.
ACC has been spay aborting more and more, and it has not gone un-noticed.
After going through the trouble of spaying these poor cats (and dogs,) and killing their unborn babies, the very least NYC AC&C could do is find them placement. What a waste, and a horrific thing to do … to put a living being through all that and then kill them anyway.
Urgent Pets On Death Row is starting a new campaign to highlight every single animal that comes in unspayed (or noted as being pregnant) and is then “mysteriously” spayed at the shelter.
People need to know what is going on there. This is our first post, but sadly we are already working on our second. When will someone step in and put the “CARE” back in ANIMAL care & CONTROL?
