Want to Save Animals’ Lives While Working From Home?
Pets for Life NYC Needs Volunteers!
“Pets for Life NYC (PFLNYC), a program of the Humane Society of the United States, is an innovative and progressive animal surrender prevention program dedicated to helping people resolve problems that would otherwise lead them to surrender their pets to animal shelters.
Whether a cat or dog training question, the need for low cost veterinary care, or if someone is facing homelessness or hospitalization, PFLNYC keeps beloved companion animals with their families by providing numerous free and reduced cost solutions and resources to New York City residents in need.
Volunteer one 2 hour shift per week on our Pets for Life NYC Hotline to counsel clients. Volunteering can be done from home as the hotline calls are forwarded to your phone.
Ability to answer calls live is a plus, and weekday daytime hours are needed most. Good communication skills, and the ability to follow up with clients is a must. One three-hour volunteer training and one 90 minute training is required for this opportunity.
A lot of volunteer support is offered!
